Nova brings Reine to the back room and shuts the door so they could have privacy and not bug Kaleb's sleep.
"I have noticed that you have spoken with most of the other members of the crew but not me. So I took the initiative this time." Nova softly smiled, "Everyone calls me Nova but since we have shared clothes already, I guess you can call me Ryne." The name still seems foreign for her to say as if this is like the only fifth time she has said it.

Reine smiles, prettily. "Salut," she whispers. "I was not sure if you wanted to speak to me because I was afraid of awkwardness. But it is good to hear your name, Ryne. Ours are similar, no?"

Ryne seemed happy about the acknowledgment. "Well I feel like she wants more out of life but keeps getting stuck in her mind. Sadly that is what her status on our world and area was." Trying to think. "Family expectations. We ran away together after she got her ship on her birthday. Right before we arrived at Baklid for the first time, her family tried to marry her off." Leans against a wall with nothing on it. "Left a message like you did and disappeared onto this planet. She was actually less... Mmm..." trying to think of the word best describe this to a native. "Core like." Giving a shrug as she used the lingo from the resort.

Reine nods sadly. "It is our similarities in life as women, oui?" She tilts her head at the last statement, trying to reconcile the woman she just had an argument with and the one being described to her. "How is she less core like? She fits the role she was given. Is it an illusion?"

Ryne smiled sweetly. "Well funnily enough. Before we went to the festival of the angel, Ava forgot that her ship was full of credits from having saved for our running away." She fiddled with a bracelet that had Ava's name on it. "After remembering she had money, she went to the mindset of being core again and being... A noble." Giving a sigh, "Then she decided to take us to the resort. I really don't like being back in that mindset again."

"You mean... like a noble?" Reine's lashes flutter down as she briefly looks at the bracelet. She puts a hand over Ryne's, pausing the fidgeting. "Or do you mean that she is not the same as when you are alone?" She says lowly.

Ryne gave a sigh and a soft blush, "She is very sweet and patient. Very unlike everyone at the resort was and such. But a lot of people don't see that side because of her upbringing." She then shook her head slightly. "But Ava is a noble by birth, daughter of a strict family. I became her servant and broke her out of that mindset of being like the Core we have seen but ever since the resort, I haven't freed her from it."

"I understand what it means to put on a facade. It is to protect yourself and the world around you. It can be difficult to let our guard down, and keep it down." Reine paused. "Even to the ones we love."
She leans against a wall, letting her head rest against it in a form that does not look natural but feels more natural than anything has in a long time. Her shoulders, the key indicator, that she is relaxed. "Why is it so important to break her out of this mindset?"

Ryne listened before seeing Reine lean with her and ask that question. "Because she don't get as upset as she did, she will be able to analysis things more clearly, and often can smile more. Being more friendly, more or less." She gave a deep sigh. "After these 13 years, I could tell when she was unhappy and when something peaks her interest. So I know that she doesn't like you like I don't like Lysire. Thankfully she agreed to have you on our ship, whenever it gets back with us."

Reine smiles kindly at Nova's description. "I had someone like that in my life..." She inhales sharply determined not to dwell on such things. "I am not surprised that she does not like me," Reine giggled, "I made her confront something painful. She lashed out. It is normal. But I will win her over, I promise." She gave Ryne a conspiratorial wink. "Does she know how much you love her?" Reine tries to be gentle, she really does. Maybe it is the language barrier or maybe she just does not have the required tact.

Ryne tilted her head as Reine had mentioned someone before she switched topics. "Well she better. We have been together for 3 years, mostly in secret from her family and anyone who would listen in." She giggled. "Due to how many eyes we had on us, I had to teach her a secret language, that I made, for each other. I taught one other person so the knowledge isn't wasted on us but I fear it is getting time to each the whole crew it and maybe have your help with your language."

"And why do you keep it so secret? Do you not think the rest of the crew knows?" She places a hand on the petite girl's shoulder. "You are not very subtle," she said slyly.
Reine raised an eyebrow. "My tribe has non-verbal signals for almost anything. The warriors, the students, the Elders. Each mean something different. But, what could my language do?"

"Well before we came to Baklid, we kept it very secret. Only the pilot of the Jupiter 1, our ship, knew about us. But when we cut ties and knew that her parents wouldn't find us, we made the decision to be more open about it." Ryne gave a smile, "The crews of both ships know a rough idea, or the full idea. While we keep it semi hidden outside of the ships."
"When we arrived on Baklid, we met Sinya. I made it my mission to get a native on board to teach us your language. She taught us but we miss syntax, the ability to form proper sentence." Ryne gave a sad smile. "Sinya won't teach us anymore so I was hoping you can help since you want to see the stars."

Reine nodded sympathetically. In her tribe it was rare for one to be of such a persuasion. But she met those like Nova and Ava in school. Reine didn't care who a person choose to love as long as both agreed. The Angel blessed many cultures in many different ways. It was blasphemous to try and dictate The Angel's motives.

Reine lifted her chin slightly at the request. She looked Ava directly in the eye, something that she assumed Ava was not used to."In the cargo bay? That is the same place that Sinya wanted to teach me how to fly. Can you guarantee that you do not have the same intention?"

Ava thought long and hard she wanted to clarify that her title wasn't given to her on a silver platter but It felt like she would hit the wall with that one. Maybe a different approach. " I am here to apologize. " even though she hadnt done anything wrong. " I believe we got off on the wrong foot...."" she paused. Thinking how to explain the expression she just said " getting off on the wrong foot means to begin a relationship badly. You see strongly believe there was a misunderstanding cause of the languages. As much as I can speak your language am not as fluent as I should be. Also trying to explain things when there is a lack of understanding what it is cause you haven't learned it yet. But it is alright I can teach Reine as much as you can teach me as well. "

Reine waited until Ava was finished speaking. She knew that it was important for people to have the space they needed when making such a big pronouncement. Understanding that you are wrong can be a terrifying experience. Reine hadn't felt that terror since she was a child when she was caught with bonbons she shouldn't have. She knew what the phrase meant though it was easy to assume she did not so she didn't take offence. Though she struggled with the syntax of the words being used. Was it her understanding of basic? She thought she was fluent. Maybe this was another dialect of basic that she was not familiar with. "I accept your apology. Merci beaucoup. And I am happy to teach those who want to learn. As I was saying to..." A quick glance over to her friend she decided not to use the name she had been given. "Nova I have only one stipulation. That is you respect the language and tradition as I teach them and not try to change or argue with it. D'accord?"

Ava noticed the pause before Reine said nova. Wondering what that was about. As she thought hard on it remembering how similar novas real name and Reine's name was. How nova had found it out on Oasis from the pirate queen. However there could been other reasons for the pause unsure if nova had given her real name. As she nodded her head. As she heard her tilted her head at Reines one stipulation to teaching nova. She couldn't help thinking that it seemed a little strange. Not arguing with it if something was different than it should be seen as just that. However the question was to nova so she kept her mouth shut. Not wanting to start up another debate that just end up with her being stripped of something else. After nova didn't say anything she realized the question was to her. " I don't think at this time I can completely agree to that. You have my respect when it comes to your religion, traditions and language however our view of how things are very different. "

Reine tilted her head in confusion. Her voice was not harsh or loud but solemn and heartbroken."Je ne comprend pas. Pourquoi ne pouvez-vous pas respecter? Je ne peux pas enseigner si tu ne veux pas apprendre." Reine inhaled through her nose. "My apologies, but I cannot teach you. If you cannot agree to my terms then it is a disrespect to my ancestors before me and that is a line I will not cross."
She turned to Nova with a sad smile "You have agreed to my terms and I will teach you but you have a difficult decision to make and I will not judge you if you decline. But since Ava cannot agree to my simple terms then I must request you not teach her what you have learned. If you cannot abide by that, I understand and hold no ill will against you. But these are my terms."

Ava frowned at that deeply " you don't need to work anything out. When I am ready I will agree to the terms in the very far future. " maybe this girl earns her trust and respect. Which currently she had neither. As she turned and looked at Nova giving her full attention. " I needed you, if someone went to you and said your title was given to you as a cook. Yet your cooking skills weren't as talented as a chief there for you don't deserve the title of one. I would defend you tooth and nail cause I love you and I know you and your cooking. This is no different...." almost raising her voice. However she stopped herself. " I worked endless days and nights studying and training. I earn where I was and pushed myself though the ranks. " she softly spoke. " I was mistaken about one thing you should know. Father was never going marry me off. The man I was meeting was a Moft that would had trained me under his command. I would been something greater than I am now. " there was passion in her voice. " However events happened and we ended up where we ended up. I was never given anything in life, not my title not who I am. I worked for it, the only thing you could say i was given was the ship. But that onto itself was cause I excelled. I continued to work hard cause I want to find where this new path leads "

Sure it has been interesting but unlike how you have been trained, you haven't truly given direct orders of where to go." Nova sighed. "So yes I didn't come to your defense and it was my fault. However as I have told Tesara and you before, it was better with just you, me and Ryan. Since it was less hectic and we got to explore to our hearts content, not having targets on our backs everywhere we go."

Technically after our fun I was supposed to return to my home planet to meet up with the Moff. Tesara and durro hasn't cause to much chaos as....." she paused. She was going say as nova had but stopped herself. This wasn't a beat up on nova talk. She was speaking how she felt about the moment with Reine. How she needed her lover but when she turned to her nova supported a stranger. " I don't mind us venturing where our jedi friends are going cause I get to see worlds I never been to that way as well. Maybe thire path will help me discover my own. " seeing Reine was heading towards the door. She guess that they were done with this conversation. Since she wasn't trying to hide what she had been saying. Though she wasn't looking for anyone's approval. " I think am going go lay down and think about what I want to do next. Would you like to come with or stay with your friend? "
