Tesara walks through the thick forest with Sinya for a little over 10 minutes without saying anything. She’s extremely grateful to be alive. If he had found her, she’d be dead, not thrown back into a car to be brought in for questioning. She bypassed an especially thick set of bushes and into a fairly open meadow. She sighed in relief. Sinya kept walking without pausing, and she did as well. Finally, the silence was too much. “How did you know I was in that car?” She asked.

Sinya sighed at the sound of Tesara. It wasn't her question, it was the fact that she was going to make it awkward. She always does. She hasn't regretted her decision to rescue the little Jedi.....yet.
"I was looking for Kaleb. I knew you guys were hitting the Summer Palace," she explained. "I was staking out the place searching for Kaleb when I saw you being escorted out. I knew all too well Death Squads when I see them. Guess now a days they wear armbands instead of masks."

Tesara looks thoughtful and starts walking again. “Well, everyone who comes to Baklid to change it brings suffering. She did ask us to get the baby to safety.” She is in front of Sinya when she says this.

Sinya watched the little Jedi rush ahead of her and gave a slight laugh, "we have a long ways to go. I would pace yourself."
"As for the baby, however you want to justify it," Sinya said dismissively.

Sinya sighed deeply as she thought to herself, 'well, at least its not that awkward.'
"After we dropped you guys off, I guess we got spotted. Lysire picked up the air-ground communications and alerted me of the coming danger. It was a couple of waves of uglies, and man they were. Small, fast, but couldn't hit for shit or turn. The Shadow danced with them as we tried to escape. Sadly, Lysire sucks on guns." She shook her head, "I really have to fix that aft turret so that Wraith can use it." She paused to recollect her thoughts. "They parked a cruiser on top of us. I guess with the addition fighters they thought that I would run for the safety of the deck. I guess they didn't know me too well. I recycled the shields and went on the attack. You should have seen their faces. The Shadow got one hell of an upper cut. I poured everything in to the bridge shields, then when I watched them start to sheen, I slammed them with four torpedoes."
She laughed, "we hit hyperspace, but unfortunately I pulled the levels a bit too early. We ripped part of the command tower off the cruiser when we zipped out of there. The debris tore sections of the shadow right open. We lost the communications, shields, hyperspace, main reactor, and well Lysire's list went on. Luckily she found a way to jump start the main reactor with a torpedo." Sinya shook her head, "don't ask, the answer will only more confuse you. Just know it worked." She laughed, "I would have bet against the idea, but fuck me it worked."
She continued, "so we fired up the backup hyperdrive and got back here as soon as we could. I had Wraith drop me off here. I figured if they spotted us, they might be on to your group and I wanted to see if could help. Wraith took the Shadow and Lysire to Europa so they could hide in the mountains."

Tesara whistles “Holy shit, that sounds crazy.” She continues to walk, careful not look at Sinya. “The reports came through that the Shadow had been destroyed and that you had been killed and,”. She wriggles her fingers in the air like quote marks, “weren’t the men and women who killed the terrorists wonderful brave men and women? They lost their lives in defense of Baklid.” She snorts. “I knew it was bullshit. I didn’t know if you guys were all right, but I did know you weren’t dead. I knew the shadow wasn’t destroyed. You and Lysire wouldn’t have let that happen.”

Sinya laughed, "well you can ask those brave men and women next time your aboard." She paused a moment to let the statement sink in. "When we exited Hyperspace on the far side of Baklid, we found out that we brought part of the bridge with us. Lysire collected the five bodies and set them up at the dinner table." Sinya shook her head, "that is one dark girl..." She laughed as she looked at the back Tesara's head, "she would talk to them like Ryan talks to his damn cat."

Tesara snorts again, but keeps her real, slightly alarmed thoughts about that to herself. “Except she knows they’re dead and Ryan is convinced the cat is real.” Pretty soon we’ll start seeing fur around the ship and hear miaowing because he somehow pulled it through the Force and now it IS real. But we do owe him for rescuing Kaleb.”

Tesara spins around in surprise. “I’m sorry I thought you knew! Ryan and his girlfriend found Kaleb and took him somewhere.... something about candy? He’s all right as far as I know. He was injured but someone healed him I think. Ava told Ryan to go get the Jupiter One and she’d go get Kaleb. They had left to do that a couple of hours before I got hauled away by the police.” She was speaking quickly but wasn’t stammering. Sinya would want clear details. “Whether or not they have him. I don’t know because the commlinks went down right after that.”

Sinya looked at her watch, "comlinks should be working in about ten minutes." She shrugged, "I long gave up on doubting Lysire. So ten minutes." She sighed, "I will have to punch Ryan in the face. He should have told me about Kaleb." She paused for a moment and let Tesara go, "yeah I told him not to bring the Jupiter here. I don't think he has the armor plating like the Shadow." She paused for a moment, "do you know where Kaleb is now?"

Sinya looked at her chronometer, "damnit!" she said messing with it. "It must have broken in the crash," she fidgeted with it with no luck. "I really liked this one," she said in a huff.
"I am guessing Comlinks should be back working again," She looked around at the dark forest, "we could call for an uber," she suggested then turned to Tesara, "you got credits?"

It was if she hit a nerve but Sinya controlled her reaction. "My father was murdered on the way home from drinking. I don't know, I was about 10...maybe a bit older. Well, they thought they had the three men responsible. They were wealthy kids loyal to the Crown. The case fell apart, and under Baklid Law, the three kids turned around and sued my father's estate. I was left with nothing and on the street. It wasn't long before I was taken as property of a local gang." She pointed to the brand on her left arm. "This is their mark on me. The chains" she motioned to the other arm. "See the barbwire, that is my life as a slave to them. The chains are of my own control." She motioned to a picture of Lysire and Kaleb, "see how my chains protect them and keep them safe from the barbwire."

Tesara was sad that Sinya seemed to have withdrawn into herself again. Just for a few brief moments, she had seen how vulnerable Sinya had been. Now the cold, gruff exterior was back. Rather than let the sharp tone sting, she narrowed her eyes. “With all that you know about me, do YOU think I am done asking questions?” She smirked a little, hoping to get an eyeroll or at least a long-suffering sigh.

Sinya let out a long-suffering sigh as she rolled her eyes, "how the others put up with you and you endless annoying questions is beyond me," she said as she turned and started to walk once more. She made a rolling motion, "go on, get to you next question."
Okay now Sinya was starting to regret it. Without thinking he mumbled at a tone Tesara could hear, "should've left you to the death squad."
Her tone was harsh but her statement dripped with dishonesty. It was clear Sinya wouldn't have left Tesara to that kind of fate. Which hinted at a darker part of this woman's life, and maybe another place for Tesara to pry.

I think he’s kind of smitten. Her name is Amy...I think he said her last name but I can’t remember…Something starting with an R.” She frowns as she is walking, trying to remember. Then she snaps her fingers. “Rommel.”

I bet you know every inch of Rotterdam and Austerity.” She thinks for a moment. “I wish I knew more about piloting and computers. Where I grew up, my mother was a healer and I was being trained to be the village Yilsaani. Zero technology.” Tesara bit her lip, realizing how very vastly different she had grown up from Sinya. “I think you know a lot about Baklid. If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?”

She thought for a moment than tossed out, "not Austerity. I have only been here s few time."
She wanted more time to think of Tesara's question. Stupid Jedi and her dumb questions. She gritted her teeth. "As for knowing Rotterdam. The parts of Rotterdam I know, pretty sheltered little girls like you were never told about."
She felt victorious, she had skillful avoid Tesara's painful question. She continued the diversion, "East 5th and Colman. For three years, that was my corner. While you were learning flowers and how to play in the forest, I was learning what Johns enjoyed."
"One thing all my Masters had in common, I had to earn my keep," she ended her avoidance tactic.

Cringing, she continued to walk, understanding that her question might have been too personal for Sinya. “I deserve that.” Tesara said simply. “You were right when you said that the Jedi don’t involve themselves or help when they should. I’ve decided to stay here, even if Master Durro decides to leave, because I want to do the right thing. I’ve got no idea where to start, but I’m willing to put myself out there to stop all this pain and suffering. The camps....” She trails off, shuddering.
“It’s vile what is happening to these people. What happened to you. I don’t even know where to start, but I can’t just stand by and do nothing anymore.”

Sinya frowned as she listened to what the little Jedi was saying. She had this whole new line of attacks ready for the foolish little girl. BUT NOOOO
The little Jedi had to ruin that. Fine, so be it.
"Well at least you shown you can listen and learn from the mistakes of other Jedi. Not like your Master showed that ability."
She tried to hide her frustration, "I am surprised he is still around."
"And the camps are nothing new," she added. "Where do you think the government sent people who angered them." She turned and faced Tesara, "can't have the Death Squads murdering people in the streets in front of all the media cameras."

Tesara looked angry for a moment. “Who gives those orders to the Death Squads? And what would happen if they WERE filmed doing it and it was shown to people? I had...”. She shudders again. “I had a vision of the future where this entire planet had been turned into a entertainment park of sorts, it was horrible! They were dumping mountains of trash into a valley and the native people of Baklid were dying and starving, and none of the people at those entertainment parts even knew about it. Even if they did, I don’t even know if they would care! It’s horrible and wrong! I can’t let that future become reality!”

Sinya shrugged, "even IF you speak the truth, you are one person."
She turned in a vain attempt to hide the pain of her history that showed under her hate and anger. "My last Master, the only person who ever truly cared for me," she said softly. "He tried to change the world. I won't ever forget the night they came for him. They were dressed in black with masks over there faces. They pulled him and his family from their beds. I survived only because his wife hid me under the sink. The family was taken out back and shoved in to a speeder."
Sinya couldn't hide the tears any longer. "Their bodies were found at the local dump. Their eyes and tongue cut out." Anger filled her voice as she spoke, "even the youngest child."
She turned with anger in her eyes, "you ask who gave the orders in Rotterdam. That monster who is Prime Minister NOW!" Her words dripped with venom.

She pointed to a family of four on her arm. Its the only image where both barb wire and chains coexist on her arm. "This is them," she said softly. "I wasn't strong enough to protect them. But I made a promise that would never happen again. I would never be so weak that I can't protect those I love."

Tesara looks at the image on Sinya’s skin and then back at her face. A riot of emotions there is obvious, despite her gruff exterior. Tesara could see everything Sinya was saying in her mind, and it was sickening. “Then we have to find a way to stop him, and Lady Loran as well. If we can find a way to restore the Queen to power, she may be able to stop all of this madness! And no one can do it alone but Angel wept there have to be people out there who are fighting against this! Even if I can help protect them from the repercussions then that’s what I will do. Bad people don’t know the Light the Angel brings. The Path... her guardian... he was trying to protect her people. But he was killed. Who will take his place? Who carries on saving the innocent?” Tesara’s voice is strong and passionate. A fire has been lit inside her and it feels like there is nowhere for it to go.

There wasn't much Sinya could say. Sure the Little Jedi spoke with passion and with fire. But she knew enough that the Jedi couldn't be counted upon.
Sinya gazed in to Tesara’s eyes before silently turning and continuing to walk back towards the Summer Palace. "I am sure we will get there before sun raise," she added with just a hint of anger left over in her voice.
Her mind silently questioning these two Jedi. One so much what she was used too, there other different. She decided that only time would tell.

Tesara opened her mouth to retort and then closed it again. Sinya was like a puzzle box she could never quite get the hang of. But it was obvious that Sinya was done and had reached the end of her rope with the questions. Wisely she chose to continue to walk and not push her any further.
