Tesara hangs up the commlink call with Ava, her heart sinking into her toes.  Across the room, Astra's face is pale and her eyes are wide.  Tesara knows she heard the conversation, but only her side.  Steeling herself, she pockets her commlink and returns to the table.  "Well."  She begins hesitantly.  "We know what happened between escaping Raxus Prime and arriving here on Dubrillion."  She says, her voice a little shaky.

Astra her eyes wide with worry. " Tesara what happened," she said quietly. She takes a deep breath trying to force herself to calm down. " Tesara I fear im a danger to everyone around me," she said quietly" she added. She drops her head and moves her left hand to her right where her bracket had been for years. A look of panic crosses her face for a moment.  She looks back to Tesara seemingly calm on the surface anyway. She waghts for her sister's answer.

"One thing.  YOU are not a danger to everyone around you.  Ashanti is."  She said firmly.  "And whatever she says or does while I am speaking to you, I want you to ignore her.  You cannot do that forever, but for right now, pretend as if she does not exist."  She said, squeezing Astra's hand.  "Ava said that she and Nova were at the summer palace as there is construction being done to repair the damage from the attacks.  A ship arrived, creating havoc and a few men were killed.  Ashanti found Ava and Nova and demanded to take Roza. They refused, because Ava had been warned by Durro that you were not yourself.  She understood that the person she was speaking to was not Astra Korraay."

Astra stared at Tesara. " Ashanti did what. I'm responsible for how many deaths now," she said and started to tremble. " what if she takes over again and locks me out like she did when I made the mistake of letting her take over" She said her head dropping once more. She shut her eyes and took several deep breaths trying to control her emotions. At the moment she wished her master was here. Though would Durro still want to train her after all of this.  She looks back to Tesara.

" I am guessing there is more to the story" she asked.

Tesara watches her chosen sister shaking and terrified.  "We'll address the issue of Ashanti possessing you without consent in a moment. And yes, there is more."  She says, taking a precious moment to breathe.  "When Ava and Nova denied her request, stating that Roza was not even there, Ashanti force choked Nova.  Ashanti asked again for Roza and released Nova.  Ava shouted for Nova to run and called for her guards and ran as well, believing she would meet up with Nova somewhere safe.  The guards came and what happened from there, I am not 100% certain.  I do know that Ashanti made it back to the headhunter and left Baklid.  Nova is in the hospital but will make a full recovery."

Astra puts her hands over her mouth. Anger crossed her face briefly but was quickly replaced with fear, sadness. " Ashanti hurt nova . This is my falt. I never should have let her take over. Your all in danger. " She said quietly.  She felt she was putting the people she card about in great danger just by being here.

"Nova will be all right.  Ava knows it wasn't you.  And yes, we are all in danger, including YOU."  She said firmly.  "Astra, what is happening to you is terrifying.  I don't know where to take you or what to do that will help you, but I'm not just going to give up, all right?  I was thinking that perhaps we could try a joint farseeing.  Rather than try to see what will happen, ask instead the will of the Force.  We're being guided by the Force to find more about the swarm, but this issue is too much for us to try and handle alone.  The dark side is a poison and it has infected you.  You need to be cured of this infection."

Astra stares at Tesara. " Tesara I-I you my visions and overseeing is unpredictable. I'm not sure we want to know" she said her voice shaking. She was somewhat unwilling to farsee. It was somehow more terrifying to her than Ashanti and the horrible things she could do. Astra shut her eyes taking several deep breaths. She know Tesara was probably right about this.

Astra looks back to Tesara. " Ok I know you are probably right about this," she said trying desperately to stay calm. It was not working very well but still, she tried.

Tesara can see the fear in Astra's eyes.  "The idea is to seek the will of the Force only, so rather than a farseeing, we can meditate together.  Astra, you have to trust in the Force.  This is the basis of everything we have ever learned as padawans.  Seek the will of the Force, follow the Will of the Force.  Trust in the Force.  Do you trust?"  She asks gently.

" I trust you and our Master"  she offered quietly. She took a deep breath trying to use the meditative technique Durro had taught her several days ago. To let go of her emotions and bring herself back under control. She looked to Tesara. " ok" she said finally agreeing to the meditation.

Tesara smiled warmly.  "Good.  Let's go to Durro's room as Mishka is asleep in mine.  Ryan is likely asleep up in the flight deck, so we won't be accidentally interrupted."  She stood, making sure Astra was following her.  She retrieved the note she had left in case Mishka had awoken and found her gone. They entered Durro's room and shut the door.  "All right.  Sit down here across from me and we'll just take a few minutes to breathe."  She sat, waiting for Astra.  She was pleased that Astra had not reacted to anything any of the other...people? had said or done while they were speaking.  It was a good sign.  She waited until Astra had closed her eyes and her breathing had evened out before closing her own and slipping into meditation.

There was a swirling effect around their minds as they reached into the depths of the Force. Tesara and Astra continued their meditation reaching out into the Force. They could feel the current of the Force at a point of a vortex, swirling around them. Swirling around this world, this system. Beyond the light of this star, there was something coming. Tesara and Astra felt it. Something dark and old slipping through space like an object slowly being washed up to an island.

There is a hunger out there, a hunger that is reaching for both Tesara and Astra. They can feel it yearning for them.

But there is more than that, they can feel the loneliness of the void closing in. They can feel trapped, lost and without hope. There was great sadness and fear coming from the void. They could feel beyond the darkness, something was moving, feeding already.

Standing on the banks of an island, Tesara and Astra could see two badly damaged boats drifting down the river. Both lost to the currents, drifting along lifelessly, passed them. The currents wash water over their barren decks. From the banks, Tesara and Astra could see bodies on the decks. More than that, they could see the river slowly claiming both boats.

It was Astra who saw the shadow from one of the windows. She wasn’t sure, but she thought she saw movement aboard one of the ships.

Then there was the horror filled scream of Aneta. The two turned and saw her above the river screaming in terror. A large reddish colored creature with two large body parts, and legs that has grabbed her. Its large mouth and pincers slowly work their way into Aneta’s chest. She screams out again to Tesara, “Please, take my sight!”

Behind them, three pairs of eyes, one atop another gaze into the very being of the two Force Users…….they felt hunger…...

Astra screamed as she came out of the vision she leaned forward putting her hand on the deck in front of her. " What- what was that... So lonely and hungry. Tesara" astra said quietly. She was shaking. She shut her eyes and tried to take some deep breaths.

" I don't understand what we just saw but I think our time is running out we don't have time for force ghosts right now after Master gets here we need to move" she said.

Tesara was shaking when she came to. She heard Astra speak and understood what she was saying, but her mind was processing everything she had witnessed.  A wave of nausea rolled over her.  “What does she mean!” She shouted in frustration.  “ How do I take her sight?”  Helplessness engulfed her and the whispers began.  “NO.”  She ground out, her teeth clenched.  “Stop. I’m not listening to you so you can knock it off.”  She muttered to that voice, the dark side whispering.  She looked at Astra, who looked as sick as she felt.  “Yes, and no. We cannot rush ahead. We may miss something vital.”  She got up, still a little bit sick.  “I think it knows we know about it.  The hunger.”

" it's not just hunger Tesara it's loneliness," Astra said. Astra blinked who were you talking to just now Tesara. She said concern crossing her face. She finally got to her feet and took Tesara's arm.  " Tesara we're not alone we have each other and Mishka, Durro, ryan, let's give this thing a fight it won't expect" Astra sigested.

“Loneliness.”  She scoffed, feeling bitter.  “It’s a tool of the dark side, then. An emotion, yes. But the hunger is stronger.  It consumes without ceasing. If there is an intelligence to it, that must mean….”  She trailed off, frowning.  “Bees.”  She says, staring at the wall, but not really at the wall.  Her mind is racing.  “Was that the Queen we saw?  Or merely a worker?”  She bit her thumb and started to pace.  “Professor Kenobi said something about there being two kinds.  Scouts, gathering information of who is worthy and who is not. At least, I think that’s what he meant. And then the others come to cleanse and devour what isn’t worthy.”  She looked at Astra.  “Once we can leave Dubrillion, we’re going with the professor to the unknown regions.  Everything is pointing to that being where the knowledge is.”  She frowned again.  “Take my sight.”  She murmured. “How, Aneta?”  She asked, still confused and frustrated.

Tesara seemed to snap out of it.  “I’m so sorry, Astra. Aneta was the girl in the vision just now in the grip of the monster. She said ‘take my sight!’ Before it killed her.  That’s Mishka‘s sister. She said the same thing to me before she died.”  Tesara reached over and picked up the injector that she had stored in Durro’s room.  “she had this, she gave it to me and said those words.  It’s some kind of hallucinogen that assists in force sight.  You have that gift naturally, but this thing gives it chemically.  I’ve been waiting to find someone who can analyze the chemicals inside.  Ryan said they were powerful hallucinogens and that the other is blood.  But I don’t know whose, or why.”  She said, not realizing she was pacing again.  “I don’t know if I’m supposed to use this? I mean it’s empty… Just barely traces left of the chemicals.  I don’t believe Aneta actually was gifted like you are. I think she was being used by those warlords because she was force sensitive. This thing gave her the ability to See.  Lanus helped.”

" Given she was on Lanus and im guessing posted there I would agree that she did not have the natural gift of a seer. She would have reacted the way I did and been taken off world quickly." She said. She thought for a moment. " Whos blood is in the injector. Where is this professor " she asked? Confusion and consurn written on her face. " I don't think we should tell Meshika her sister was in the vision she has been throw a lot as is.

Tesara sighed.  “I don’t like keeping secrets. Mishka is so much stronger than anyone knows. She has been through shocking, horrifying life altering situations and she is still kind and intelligent and sweet. I would like her and Ryan to come with us to the unknown regions. That means full disclosure.”  She said, but there was nothing in her voice that said she was upset at Astra for the suggestion.  “The professor is on his ship with his droid. I know he’s preparing to leave Dubrillion to head out there. However I’m fairly certain he wants me to accompany him, so he is likely still here.” She sighed.  “I have no idea whose blood is in the injector, but my guess is that the blood was taken from a true seer like yourself.”

" I did not intend to imply that she could not handle it but maby describing her sister alive and dying again is not a good idea im not saying we don't tell her about the vision im just suggesting we do tell her the identity of the girl being killed again. With her sister having died so soon to have her die again in a vision is hard I would now" She sakd gently.  It was clear she was trying to protect Mishka. She know to well the pain of losing a sibling and having to relive there death in a vision.

" we don't have anyone who can analyze the injector find out who's blood or is, as for I guess he would technically be my uncle well we will have to go see him at some point. You did not tell him about Roza did you" she asked.

Tesara gave Astra a pained look.  "I'm sorry, I know you meant it that way.  My mind was racing and I sounded one way when I meant another.  You're right, it would be painful.  I will have to think on it."  She looked genuinely confused.  "Your uncle?"  Then it dawned on her.  "Are you talking about the professor?  He would be your uncle in law I think.  And yes, I did tell him about Sol's death and of Roza.  He was visibly upset to hear that Sol was gone.  I did not however, tell him anything about your current force illness."

Astra pinched the bridge of her nose. " I never really got to meet the man I believe has spent most of his time explaining," she said quietly. She took a few deep breaths. " as far as I know no one in Sol's family knows about Roza. They know I was carrying her at the time of his..." She trailed off unable to complete the statement. " it was the last time I had spoken to any of them. Anyway.." She said dropping the subject. " you think we can try calling Quinn" Astra asked.

Tesara felt awful for Astra.  She could see the weight of it all starting to drag her down.  “Of course we can call Quinn.”  She said gently.  “Do you have your commlink on you?”  She asked, unsure if Ashanti had done away with it in a fit of rage.

They also took fathers kiber crystal my bracket and deta pad giving those to Durro along with comlink" she said quietly. Her left hand went to her right wrist where her Bracelet was worn. " It may be wise to call him as well"

Tesara watched Astra closely, then pulled out her own commlink.  Let's call Durro first, then Quinn afterwards.  I am fairly certain Quinn will have a million questions and Durro may have answers we don't yet have.  She squeezed Astra's shoulder.  "We'll try to get as many of your things back as possible."  She reassured her, then dialed Durro.

Mishka had woken up some time ago, but had finally decided to crawl out of bed. Another nightmare had been the cause of her lack of sleep, so she decided to get a cup of tea made. It took a little time and some patience, but she was finally drinking it and walking through the ship when she heard the voices.

Following the voices to what she was told is Durro's room, she looked inside, cup of tea held in her hands. "Hello?" She asked.

Durro is stirred from meditation by his comm chiming. He glances at the swirling blue tunnel of hyperspace and smiles; the benefits of having a military-grade comm system. Seeing Tesara on the identification system, he takes the call.

Relief washed over her to hear he was so close.  "Absolutely lets wait until you land.  You MAY have to argue with the local militia to be let on board the Jupiter One.  They are aware of who Astra is and what she---Ashanti rather, did.  I swore I would not try to leave.  Besides, I think the ship still needs to finish being repaired before we can leave anyway."

Tesara looked up and smiled to see Mishka there.  "I'll see you in a while." She said to Durro, then hung up her commlink.  "Mishka, how are you feeling?  I know yesterday was a hell of a day for you."  She said, pleased to see her up and about, and speaking as well.  She had a feeling Ryan had something to do with that, and was grateful to him.

Tesara grinned.  "Good thinking."  She got up and started a pot for hot water.  "I've no idea how long it will take him to get here but we can keep the water hot at least."  She turned back to Mishka.  "How did you sleep?"

Mishka shrugged and hugged herself. "I slept enough...I think I had another nightmare, but I can't remember it, so I'm unsure." She said honestly as she took a seat.

"Maybe that's a good thing, with all you have been through.  It may be your mind protecting itself."  She said, glancing at Astra and thinking the same thing of her friend.  "You both have been pulled backwards through hell.  I wish there was more I could do."  She admitted.

" im sorry nightmares are no fun" she said with a smile. She looked to Tesara and grinned. " You sure we don't just live in hell," Astra said trying to joke and break the tension for a moment.

She turned to look Mishka. " We will be waiting a while Master Thel-Tanis is old and slow" she said with a half-grin.

He takes the tea from Tesara and takes a sip.
"Thank you, and no; the Milita was busy and only interested in seeing me to ground as quickly as possible."
He gives Astra a look and says,
"We have much to discuss, my young Padawan. For now, how do you feel? I imagine Tesara has taken good care of you, as well?"

Astra drops her head. "Yes we do master, I made a horrible decision and people are dead because I let Ashanti take over." she said quietly. She took a step back away from Durro. The joking was gone and Astra was focused on a spot on the floor refusing to look up at anyone.

"Yesterday is history, and can't be changed." Durro says simply. "I sense that you understand your mistake and won't make it again. All we can do is accept it, along with any consequences, and move on."
"Believe it or not, this isn't the end of the universe, Astra. Even the Hunters have tasted the Dark Side and sometimes you have to burn yourself on the hot stove in order to learn not to touch it."
He smiles warmly at Astra and adds.
"For now, we continue into the Unknown Regions. We find what we can about what's to come, and figure out how the Force wills us to proceed."

Astra blinked and looked up at him confused. " Master?" she questioned. She had expected to be in far more trouble then this. " The hunters have no they would be locked in starlight for it master." she drooped her head again.  shutting her eyes her emotions were clouding her judgment and she know better then to act on that now. she took serval deep breaths. she ignored the chatter of her ghostly friends. " Master, we do need to go to the unknown region Tesara and i had a vision about it. but there's also another problem I'm afraid I've  lost my lightsaber in all of this mess" she said. The one thing she should never lose and she managed to lose hers what fun.

Durro sits down at the table and takes a long drink from his tea. He waits a moment before saying;
"It's my understanding that the Hunters learn certain Dark Side techniques in order to understand them. If calling upon and using the Dark Side is not tasting it, then I don't know what is."
He breaths deeply, and the Force stirs subtly in the room.
"I sense your confusion. Let me guess, you expected me to be far angrier, or perhaps disappointed? That I'd turn you over to the authorities, or simply refuse to train you any further? As I told you on Raxus Prime, a single mistake isn't going to make me abandon you, even a mistake like this. None of us are perfect, and if a single mistake got you expelled from the Jedi there would be no Jedi."
"As for your punishment, I feel you're punishing yourself far more harshly than any punishment I might give. You must learn to forgive yourself and to move on. You can't change what's been done, but you can ensure it doesn't happen again."
Leaving his cup on the table, he stands. He reaches into his bag and withdraws his original lightsaber; the simple padawan hilt from his universe. He walks over to Astra and holds it out to her.
"You can use this, until you construct another of your own. I'd encourage you to attempt to bond with the Legacy Crystal if that's what you're going to do, if you wish us to stop so you can do so, then let us know."
He looks around the room and adds;
"I say 'us', assuming we are going. Where is Professor Kenobi? Is he coming with us as well?"

Astra stared at Durro. How had he known that information? " ok perhaps you are right but I am not a hunter. Such practice is forbidden to me, as it is for both you and Tesara" she said shaking her head.

" Yes, master I did expect to be in far more trouble with you for this mess," she said. " Master, you still have the Legacy Crystal right?" She asked. She looked at the lightsaber Durro held out to her but made no move to actually take the weapon.

" It's best to hold off on the lightsaber situation until this mess is delt with a we can leave." Astra said. She looks over to Mishka. " Are you ok with coming after the sworm with us you know it will be dangerous and we may not return to republic space for a long time" Astra said.

Mishka looked up from her tea to Astra and offered a smile. "It's fine," She answered, her mind going to Ryan. The heat rising to her face was quickly dissipated and she straightened up despite the throbbing headache. "I'm fine with that. Ryan is teaching me how to be a pilot and how to take care of the Jupiter One, so it's only natural I stay and travel with you all."

"I thought you had the skills, just lacked the confidence to use them. I thought a 'trial by fire' so to speak would bring out what you already knew." He looks thoughtfully at Astra; or rather, thoughtfully through her, as if seeing something that is not there. "That's how so much of my own training was... just, thrown into the fire to either persevere or perish." He looks at Astra, properly this time. "Perhaps it's the wrong approach. It worked with Tesara, but she's stubborn and always eager to prove herself. Lanus was also simpler, you either did or died. No government to arrest you, or try you for murder. Just a wild jungle that would eat you if you weren't careful."
