Hadaza catches @Tesara Anerin in the hallway on the way to the galley. Linking arms with her playfully, she asks "So what do you think the old fox has in mind?", a mischievous spring in her step. "And what is he going to add for flavor?", she adds with a twinkle, remembering his comment to her earlier and adding fuel to the fire.

"Questionable additives is what Professors do best!", she says as she laughs loudly, the twinkle eye in her eyes deepen at an unspoken thought as her pupils dilate slightly. "And it's not the food that concerns me. Its the games. Kenobi tends to play for keeps. And it's what he thinks he's going to get to keep that has me on edge ... which I'm sure he will want dulled. My suggestion is that we drink lots of tea to help dilute his scheming."

Hadaza pretends to look thunderstruck at the idea that he would spike their tea; she fails miserably. She definitely wouldn't put it past him. "If you taste alcohol in anything, put it down. His acamel brandy is wicked if you aren't ready for it. That said, he's sly enough that we likely won't be able to taste anything. I fear nothing would amuse him more than to watch the ever prim and reserved Tesara Anerin rolling around on the floor with a helpless fit of the giggles." She dissolves in raucous laughter at the image.

Hadaza bats her eyelashes innocently, not trying at all to hide the wicked mischief that glitters behind them. "Does that mean you will destroy me too, Master Anerin? I'm afraid you won't find me so easily dispatched as video and I am simply dreadful at keeping secrets.", she retorts theatrically.
She pokes her teacher in the ribs, goading her into taking a swipe. She notes the muscles under Tesara's uniform and thinks to herself, Selv om du har evnen til å gjøre det, bør du være oppmerksom på det. and tucks that information away for later. She will have to press Tesara more physically in the future.

Tesara dances away when poked in the ribs and squeaks a sound Hadaza has never heard, then she laughs. "What has gotten into you today, Haj? It was like someone lit a campfire or something. AND I have no secrets, thank you very much. At least, not yet." She peers mock suspiciously down the hallway.

"Not yet, indeed. We shall see if that still holds true once we finish dinner." There is wicked delight in her whole being and she can't help but let it out with more laughter.
Hva har gått inn i meg?, she thinks. Despite the gravity of the mission that Durro and Astra are on, the stakes could be no higher, she is giddy. She turns to Tesara and says, "If anything, the past few weeks have shown me that life is too short to not enjoy the good times to the fullest when the come, for often they come too infrequently."
They step to the door of the galley. "Something smells delicious!", she says as she takes @Tesara Anerin's arm, beams broadly, and enters for whatever awaits them.

was cordially busy making Egg Fried Rice. It was a very easy meal to prepare. It REquires Egg. Fry. And Rice. Hard to fuck up. He had just finished cutting the shallots and garlic when they arrived, grinning warmly. "I started yesterday by preparing some Chicken Rice." He pointed to the metal container. There was a large metal wok in front of him, to which he started to pour oil into it. "Have a seat ladies and enjoy the show."

Riding the high of the cheeky banter that brought her to this place, Haj saunters to the kitchen to inspect the Professor's work up close.
"It has to be better than anything Durro would have prepared, that's for certain sure." She grins saucily up at the Kenobi to gauge his reaction to her teasing. Grabbing a cut veggie to munch, she turns back to Tesara she adds, "And I would likely poison the lot of you. Pray I never find my way into a kitchen."
Returning to the dining room, she perches on the back of one of the chairs, elbows on her knees and chin on her upturned palms. "To what do we owe the honor, Professor?"

Once they were seated, he poured out the smoking oil and added fresh oil, the garlic and shallots, and started to crisp them. It would not take long until he drizzled in chicken rice and mashed it down with his long spoon. The wok hay was a wave of fire after sesame oil was applied, and then soy sauce. Then he added the KING OF FLAVOUR. MSG. The rice was then. Press. Flame. In Five Minutes there was a steaming bowl of egg fried rice in the center. "Enjoy."

Tesara was practically drooling by the time he was done. The smell must be permeating every corner of the ship! She reached out and took a healthy portion for herself and started eating right away. It was astoundingly good.

Hadaza watches Tesara dive into the plate with relish and smiles, both at the younger woman's eager abandonment in the devouring of the feast before her and at the thought of what might be hiding inside the dish under all those delectable scents. Slightly more judicious, she picks up the fork and pokes at the meal.
If the scent is tantalizing, the visual is explosive. She finally succumbs to temptation and deposits a forkful into her mouth. Ecstasy rolls from her taste buds down her shoulders and she slumps back in the chair.
"Gods Below, but that's divine. Where ... how ... who ... Never mind", she splutters and returns to meal. "Aren't you joining us?", she asks Kenobi around a mouthful of rice, all concerns about the "seasoning" gone from her mind.

The use of his first name, the intimacy of it, surprises her and she flushes as she looks down at the plate.

Hadaza slows down and watches, listens to the two other people at the table as she enjoys her meal rather than scarfing it. The casual air between them all feels somehow both natural and contrived. It's not as easy as it was in the hallway with Tesara just a few minutes before, nor as it was with the Professor earlier. Kanskje det er meg?, she thinks, and is determined to ease into the moment.
She consciously passes over her informality, chocking it up to her earlier easy bravado, and sips her tea while waiting for Kenobi to reply

The goal of the game is to get as close to 20 as possible without going over. Whichever player is closer to 20 wins the set, and whoever wins 3 sets first wins the game. You can tie if you both have the same total, which doesn't count as a win for either side.
Within each set, the computer takes turns dealing a card to each player. After a card has been dealt to you, you have three options:
Play a card- you can play a card from your side deck at the bottom to either subtract from or add to your total. This is useful for bringing you closer to 20 taking you back under 20 if you've gone over. Only one card can be played per turn. After a card is played, you still have to select one of the following two actions.
End turn- you end your turn and your opponent's turn begins. This essentially means that you're staying in the game and will have another card dealt to you next turn.
Stand- you lock in your total. You will not have any more cards dealt to you, and you cannot play any more cards. If your opponent has already locked in a lower/equal total, you automatically win/draw the set. If they have not yet stood, they keep playing until they either beat your total, tie, or surpass 20.
Your 4 card side deck is randomly chosen from the 10 (I think) cards you select from your entire card inventory at the start of the game. It's generally good to have a mix of + and - cards so you have more options. There are cards that are both blue and red, which can be played as either + or - the face value. Naturally, these cards are more useful/valuable than their mono colored counterparts.
At its core, it really is like blackjack. It's just to 20 instead of 21, and the players take turns hitting instead of doing their turns all at once. End turn- hit me Stand- stand? I'm not sure if there's a blackjack term for this, but it's the same concept

She seats herself, pours 2 fingers of Scotch for herself, grabs a sweet desert, and picks up her cards to ponder her fate.

Hadaza raises her glass and takes a solid swig from the tumbler. Used to the smoother brandy, the liquid burns causing her to splutter and flush.

In an effort to cover her inexperience with the harder spirits, she reaches for a cupcake and licks the frosting from the top. Given that she ate very little, she can feel the heat of the decoction hitting her system like lava and she dissolves blissfully into it.

Hadaza is into her 3rd glass of scotch and everything is a little warm and fuzzy around the edges. She looks around her to assess the damage of the, has it been hours now? The pile of hats and other geegaws is sizeable, though not as sizeable as Tesara's. She lost the poor girl a little while ago, but knows that she's still there because she can hear giggling from .... somewhere.

"Moti to yo mama too, Master Anerin!", she calls over the table and chuckles as she sits back. Å, jeg må legge meg, she thinks as she swirls the scotch around in the glass, eyes lingering on another cupcake as they scan the room. She noticed that the Professor had gone suspiciously quiet over the last hour or so. She wasn't sure if it was because he was concentrating on the game, a strategy that had ended with his successfully destroying both women, the mellowing affects of the elixir they were imbibing, or something else.
Just that moment, she didn't care, much. She was enjoying herself watching Tesara. Oh how her teacher was going to pay for this later!
As Tesara's head peeps up from the floor, Hadaza comments impishly, "Now just what would your padawan think if she saw you in this state?"

"From far above, huh?" Haj looks under the table at Tesara, who's blonde locks are now simultaneously sticking out at odd angles and plastered to her face.
"Great Gods of Seething Darkness, Tesara! Here, let me help you. You're a mess." She slinks down off the chair and crawls under the table. The floor is chilly on her hands and through the thin fabric of her casual attire.
She shivers as she runs her hands though Tesara's hair. "Going to have to talk to the owner of this boat to about temperature. It's not hot enough in here."

She watches the former Jedi toddle off on unsteady feet as she pulls herself back out from under the table. She pops up right in front of Kenobi.
"Oh! I must have gotten turned around under there. I'm sorry." She pulls herself up to her feet with the help of the table. "I'll just start getting this cleaned up," she says as she leans over to grab the tumblers and empty plates.
With her hands full and steps unsteady, she ducks off to the sink.
