"First getting close with the chancellor, but that is just part of it, it is when you lose you objective sight concerning her, where you start to choose her over your companions, when you trust her, but she does not trust you. It was how things started with Auro, they just got worse and worse from there out. More though, is simply using those that have come to travel with and help you, using them without respecting them."

Gadeon though a moment longer. "Think about the incident on the communicator, you to stop Ni, to prevent her from saying any more, but that piece of information may have been just as unhelpful as it was helpful, think of all the friends that we all have. None of us are really so close to Damaya that we would call her a friend, there are those from the air-ball team, the chancellor herself, the freedom fighters on Frey, the pool of persons expands more and more, researching that will take them time and likely end up being abandoned. It also would have kept them talking longer, possibly getting the trace more detailed. It is doubtful that she gave them anything and likely would have kept them trying to get more information from her were it not for all the confusion. Think of what she had done before that, she found out who Owl was, a key piece of information that no one gave her credit for. Then there was the Sheriff, look at what she found out about him. Did you see her when she left and when she came back, it was a date she did not want to go on that she went on to learn more about the situation here, and she took a bit of a beating for it too by the look of her. She's done all this in one day, and you all still treat her like ditzy silly unhelpful Ni. Then you wonder why she does not listen to your commands when you order her to do something. Do you think for a moment if I looked at her, motioned for the communicator and asked for it. She would not have given it to me? It is because I saw more to her and respected her choices through life, there is no secret to controlling Ni, because she does not need to be controlled, just treated with proper respect, just like everything in this galaxy. I use this one example because I feel that if you see it everyone else will too, but it is not the only one if you would like for me to list others.

"I sense sincerity from the Chancellor," Unna said to Gadeon. "I recall that I used to give Auro a hard time another this very subject. Coincidentally, I feel that I now receive the same skepticism from the party. She is not perfect, but I trust her. I do not trust the council. I feel this is an issue which divides us, but I just do not feel like I can turn my back on her now, nor do I wish to do so."

"As for using our companions, I actually do not wish to do that either. If I have, it has been unintentional. That is also why I do not ask Ni to heal me. I know I have lost my temper with her on multiple occasions and such treatment makes me feel undeserving of her time and talent. I did not see her when she went to her date. I try to avoid her to avoid confrontation. It seems a lack of respect is a flaw within our crew now. I know I have not been respectful to Ni, but I feel that she is highly disrespectful as well. She refuses to take 'no' for an answer and takes risks that could jeopardize us all for her own hedonistic desires."

Unna paused and rubbed one of her wounds as she hissed in pain. "I do not need to tell you all of this. I am sure you are perceptive enough to have witnessed this behavior. The point is that trust is a two way route, as is respect. Trust is also the reason why I was willing to fight to protect Demaya's secret. It was not about giving away information that could help Biggs' team, but rather about Demaya's trust. It is important to me."

"I do appreciate you coming to me about this. I feel it has been a long time since we have had such a discussion. I see the validity in your point, although I would appreciate more examples to help me to see your perspective even more clearly."

Gadeon listened to Unna as she spoke. "Do you remember when Cox said we had to leave, he did not give reasons for it? I chastised her for her lack of trust as well, if we are to unite as a crew we must all leave the past behind us." Gadeon frowned thinking how he had failed to do so only recently. "It is something I have only just realized.  Still we must all do it we cannot hold what is against it and as for apologies, thanks all this should be in one act be done with. A fresh start is never truly possible,  but we must all try.  Until she found out who Owl was did any of you know? Did she get one person telling her good job? I am not saying she does not need to respect you and your opinions as well, but she has not ever gotten respect. I do nothing to control her, but to her respect is honored and if it is given it will be reciprocated." It is something that they all needed to do, it would be hard.  He needed to talk to Duncan.

 "I've never really been good at giving speeches so I won't try,  I'll just say this about the Chancellor. It doesn't matter which side prevails, only that we survive.  I do not think the council, lacks corruption, but just because she is not deceiving you does not mean she is right.  Look to all the figures of history that committed atrocities because they believed it was for the best, after all she did not even give you a reason, she didn't need to, you never asked." He shook his head "We need to stay together, and to decide how we are proceeding as a group to trust each other to do what is best for all of us, and to stop keeping secrets."  

He thought a moment longer.  "As for other examples I would cite the dinner with Graff where you said nothing, you said the truth along the way I think you hid from us your plans because you did not want to justify them to anyone. Another example of two people not doing the right thing, there is so much you do not share Unna, so much that you then get upset at people and belittle them for showing concern for you."

Unna nodded and acknowledged what Gadeon had said. She decided to only touch on the last topic, which was the secrets. "You are correct. I do not wish to justify my plans, nor do I feel I should be expected to. I asked Duncan if I could accompany him to explore his family ship. Had he said no, I would have respected that with no further questioning. Perhaps my standards are too high, but I would hope that others would do the same for me. They haven't and who I had lunch with was my personal business anyway. It wasn't a mission. It was my personal business. Then I was outed for being gay, followed by being outed for my private relations with Cox. Demaya could have had her private business revealed as well. This is why I keep secrets and it is okay to have them. It wasn't a trust issue until recently. Until issues with Ni arose, my secrets were only due to my desire for privacy. Now, they are due to mistrust and feeling disrespected."

Gadeon have a little frown. "Duncan told you where he was going, and he trusted people to make their choices with respect for him. What you did was obfuscate the truth from your friends and expect their trust and respect in return." Gadeon shook his head more to himself than Unna. "Do you think I wanted to tell you what I wrote to the Chancellor? I did because you asked, your reaction told be your opinion of my actions helped to show me what you thought of them. I told you because you asked open honest and true, you may not have lied to me, but do not pretend that you were honest." His head shook again. "It is in the past, I should heed Master Nontho and remain in the present. I think I have said what I intended to, have you anything else to say?"

"I do not view withholding information as being dishonest. I view it as being discrete. I am very. You retained the option to say 'no' when I asked what you wrote to the chancellor. Duncan had every right to say 'no' as well. Just know that it is not you who I do not trust. Some individuals can not keep secrets, thus I feel I must keep them to myself. Perhaps you and I should make it a habit of sharing our lives with one another on a regular basis, because you have my trust."

"I'll start," Unna paused and smiled shyly. "I do not think I am gay anymore. Cox confuses me, because I think I am having feelings for him. They are very unfamiliar emotions."

Gadeon understood that, he saw much of what had happened with Auro happening with Unna now, perhaps her was over projecting it. Moreso, he was happy to hear that Unna had found someone, even if it worried him he would not make an issue of it now. "I am glad for you, that you have healed enough to consider such. I would certainly like that, but just now I think there are more pressing concerns. Care to help me round up the crew. I think it is important that we get a couple things settled before this starts."

"Of course," Unna obliged. She started to walk away slowly as her body ached.
