RE: The Mandalorian and the Princess [Kaleb, Reine, and Ava] (Closed)

Reine turned around and moved the chair to sit in front of him. Unlike what she did with Ava, this was to meet his eyes and be at his level. She listened to him intently, trying to take in all that he was saying. Though his face was impassive, his words were filled with emotion. And she doubted that this crew he traveled with had ever been witness to such a display. She smiled softly at his speech, her eyes shining with anticipation, at his potential. She had never seen his talents but the way he spoke about who he was meant there was a passion for it.
"You have a good mind about your shoulders. You humble yourself when you do not know something. And, if you misspeak or change your mind, you are confident with it. At least, that is what I hope you do. I made a comment and earlier and you have taken that to heart and seemed to thought it through and come to another conclusion. And we have not known each other long but if you can do that in a short period of time why is it fair to say that this is the exception?
"We do need hope. The Republic... I could spend hours telling you the atrocities that I, myself, and my tribe, and all of the tribes that surround the cities face against the colonizers. The fact that you want to simply bring hope is a good place to start." *She would love to see a stranger give their life to help her people. To her culture, it would be the best offering a person could give.
*She sighed and looked down in thought. How did her fingers get so close to his? The tips barely touching that she hadn't even noticed. Without causing too much alarm she shifted slightly before looking at him. "Explain it to me, s'il vous plait. What could she possibly be going through that would allow people to excuse this nasty behavior?"
It wasn't a trap per se but there really wasn't anything that could excuse Ava's blatant disregard for respect or ignorance towards cultural relations. But maybe saying it out loud might shed some light on how better to make Ava understand the error of her ways.
