Taking A Ni

He smiled and glanced back at her, "well I have a source I need to speak with about Ms. Chaanu. If she is on world, then he will know."

He watched her hand and then heard her statement, "honey you are barking up the wrong tree with me." He thought for a moment, "you are not going to get any action down there." He pulled the side of his collar and revealed a metallic port for injections. "Sanera Injections," he said letting go of his collar. "Its the exterior of the body young, but its got some wicked side effects."

[Gar]

Ni withdrew her hand and exclaimed in a tone of both horror and pity, "You can't have sex?!" There was a grim pause of silence as this information sunk in, then she blinked in confusion. "But--if you can't...then why would you show interest in me? Why would you bring me on a date?" Ni put her hands in her lap and stared forward, her breath catching in her throat at a sudden revelation which she now uttered aloud. "Oh...this was about work," she says dejectedly, "You were following a lead...you wanted to make sure I wasn't a terrorist." She fiddled with the hem of her dress, suddenly feeling very small. "Your commitment to your planet is admirable..." she said dryly, avoiding his eyes.

He gave another deep laugh, "you a terrorist?" He continued to laugh deeply until the fit passed. "Trust me, I know you are no terrorist."

He paused a moment, "I did tell you, I would offer you a platonic relationship." He smiled at her, "don't blame me if you didn't take me literally."

He let the moment and words sink in, "I asked you on this date because I loved the way you stood up for your friend back there." He held up a hand to ensure he could continue to speak. "Sure, you can tell me the otherwise. A personal only does something like that for someone they know. I asked you on this date because I enjoyed our short time together, and I am still enjoying myself." He finally turned his head to look at her, "While I can and will take you home if you ask. If you don't mind, I would enjoy continuing to get to know who you are."

[Gar]

Ni slowly turned to face him again. "I still don't understand..." she said slowly, still processing, "What do you get out of this? Why do you want to know who I am? And...why do you need those injections, anyway? What did you call them?" She scrunched up her face as she tried to pull it from memory, "Senile injections?"

He smiled at her, "Sanera....their highly illegal on a wide number of worlds." He paused a moment while holding his smile, "but this one."

"What do I get out of this? Are you kidding me?" he laughed again as he returned his focus to his driving. "I get to spend a evening with someone truly beautiful." He half glanced at her once more, "I wonder how many people ever took the time to actually get to know who you really are."

He motioned to a small pad at the top of a building. "That is where we are going. That is, if you want to continue our night."

"Does beauty really matter if you can't make love?" Ni asked more to herself, "Although..." her smile returns again and her eyes light up with another idea, stating hopefully, "Your tongue still works fine, right? I would assume it does because you don't have a lisp." The Zeltron seems very satisfied with this thought. "But of course I want to continue our night! I'm very intrigued. I've never met a man that takes--um--S--Sarah Injections. I'd like to hear more about it! But I'll just be a fly on the wall for now while you do your rendezvous." Ni straightens up in her seat and smiles reassuringly up at Kaleb.

He nodded, "yeap, my tongue does work very well."

He turned the speeder and started to land on the top of the building. "The injections allowed my physical body to slowly started to revert back to its peek condition. I started many years ago. The clockwork still ages normally as does the mind. It also messed with my connection to the Force. I can still use my skills, but it requires more effort." He smiled as he got out and walked around to the other side to open her door. "But to look like this till the day I die, well its worth it. Sadly, no one said anything about the other side effects" he said motioning downward. "But after a few years, one learns to look at the world in an entirely different way."

[Gar]

"Oh, so you are older than you look?" Ni asked as she exited the speeder, hen whispers, "I'll ask more questions later, I don't want to spoil your meeting!" She winks and pats him on the shoulder, "What is this place?"

He smiled, "I am much older than I look. My younger brother, before he died in that stupid war on Olivan, was Duke Saar."

He nodded and led her down a winding staircase to a bar that was partially filled with patrons. He walked up to the bartender, "De'is" Sheriff Saar said.

"Oh, Sheriff...." the bartender named De'is said. The man was a human with a skinny body. "Um....what can I do for you?"

Saar smiled and moved a picture before him, "I need information. I need to know where this woman is."

"Um....Sheriff, um....I don't know..."

Sheriff Saar reached across the table and pulled the man's head hard until it hit the thick wooden bar. "De'is, no one does anything on this world without you know about it." At the same time, he drew his blaster and pressed it up against the man's temple. "Now, De'is, I am going to ask you once more. I need information." He moved the man's face so he could easily see the picture.

"Oh...Her....yeah Sheriff."

Sheriff Saar smiled, "I knew that your memory would improve."

"Yeah, she and another guy had a meeting with a Dark Wing earlier today. I was just about to call you about that."

Sheriff Saar pressed the barrel up against the man's head, "Don't get derailed or my finger might slip!"

"Oh oh...yeah...um....so I got a guy who said that they were responsible for the Market Place bombing."

Saar nodded and pulled the blaster back, "what did they want with the Dark Wing?" He still held the man's head pressed against the bar.

"I don't know. I heard that the Dark Wingers are looking to move some bird or something off world."

Saar pressed the barrel of the blaster up against the man's head again, "all this over a bird!?"

"I swear, that's all I know! PLEASE!"

Sheriff Saar let the man go and turned to face Ni, "shell we go?" He returned his weapon to its holster.

[Gar]

The Zeltron bit her lip nervously and pressed her fists to her heart as she watched the skinny man being threatened. She had a worried, concerned expression on her face and hesitated to speak. When it was over Ni breathed a sigh of relief. "He is telling the truth, Kaleb," she affirmed softly, stepping toward De'is. She turned to give Kaleb a knowing look before facing the skinny man and gently straightening his disheveled clothes. "So sorry about my friend, he can get a bit rough when he is excited," she told him in a serene, mollifying tone while working her charms, "Are you sure a Dark Wing was at the Market Place? What are your sources?" She stared into De'is's eyes intently, brushing back a strand of hair from his forehead.
